Our Favourite Local Activities
Visitors will be able to enjoy several groomed ski trails this winter, thanks to volunteers of the Waskesiu Lake Ski Club and Parks Canada. The remaining trails are not groomed or cleared of fallen trees and are tracked by users. You can borrow skis, snowshoes, and children's chariots with cross-country ski kits from the Hawood Inn in Waskesiu.
Visit the Waskesiu Lake Marina and the Hanging Hearts Marina and choose from boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, kiteboarding, waterskiing, wakeboarding, and even paddle boarding! They offer pontoon boat interpretive tours and sunset cruises. Bringing your own boat? Moorage spots are available on site.
The Waskesiu Golf Course is one of the oldest golf courses in Western Canada. Visit their pristine grounds for a game or stop by their Clubhouse and Pro Shop. The Elk Ridge Golf Course offers three picturesque 9-hole courses, carved into the heart of boreal woodland! Making Waskesiu a golfer's true paradise!
